Area Parks
Eberhardt Park
Eberhardt Park is located on the southwest edge of Arthur. This park was established in 1951 through a donation of 9 acres from the Eberhardt Family. Pauline and her two daughters, Emma and Elsie, donated this ground on July 15, 1951 in memory of C. Fredrick Eberhardt. This park includes 3 pavilions, playground areas, sand volleyball, and open spaces for miscellaneous activities. Eberhardt Park becomes a winter wonderland at Christmas time, with all the lights and decorations. This park is open year around and the hours of operation are 5:00 a.m. to dark. Please contact Billie Bernius at the State Bank of Arthur 217-543-2114 ext. 105 for reserving the pavilions throughout the summer. There is no fee for reserving a pavilion.
